Miley Cyrus: Homosexuality Defended By Former Disney Star

Miley Cyrus: homosexuality is defended by the former wholesome Disney star. She is an avid supporter of homosexual rights and freedom.

Back in 2011, the pop sensation got herself a tattoo. On the tattoo are images of an equals sign found on her ring finger. She says this is to stand for the equal rights of homosexual people.

Cyrus told Toronto Sun that she doesn't mind being called a lesbian, a comment she repeatedly got after she cut her long locks and traded them in for a very short pixie-styled haircut.

She said, "If you think I look like I'm a lesbian, I'm not offended."

Cyrus proceeded to tell Toronto Sun, "I've been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me."

Last year in 2012, the blonde singer claimed London is her favorite place for concerts because of its vibrant gay scene. The performer also admits that her song "My Heart Beats for Love" released in her "Can't Be Tamed" album was dedicated for one of her gay pals.Miley Cyrus: homosexuality is defended by the former wholesome Disney star. During an interview with Bang Showbiz Cyrus said, "My favourite place to perform is London, because I have never seen more gay people in my whole life. When I go to London that's what it is. I feel like they are so much more open, much more than here in the US where they're feeling trapped, where it's like, 'Can I even say I believe in gay marriage? Can I say that my favourite fans are my gay fans?' Am I allowed to say that, because half of America is still against it? "It's like, I just feel like when I go to Europe, I feel very free with my fan base.'"

The American actress and singer is the the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. She started out playing small parts in shows like Doc and the movie Big Fish.
