Tina Fey And Amy Poehler To Host The Golden Globe Awards 2014; Will They Be Able To Rake 20 Million Viewers Again?
Tina Fey, 43, and Amy Poehler, 42, are back to fulfill their hosting duties for the 71st Golden Globe Awards on January 12, 2014. The dynamic duo will likewise do the same job in 2015.
"Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will once again host our annual awards show in January - and want to return the following year, too," announces the Golden Globe in its official page.
Theo Kingma, Hollywood Foreign Press Association president, has likewise announced that the two will be hosting the glitzy affair again:
"We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years. Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year."
Last year's Golden Globes have raked 20 million viewers after Fey and Poehler exuded their hosting skills. It was the highest rated affair for the Golden Globes in six years.
With Fey and Poehler's success, many are wondering whether the two will likewise be invited to host the Oscars.
However, Fey already dismissed the idea: "I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman - the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone - no way."
