Kanye West Disappointed That Kim Kardashian Is Not Qualified To Be In Hollywood's Walk Of Fame; 'Gold Digger' Singer Calls Committee 'Outdated'

For the second year in a row, Kim Kardashian is not seen as someone who is eligible to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Even if Kanye West protested that his girlfriend should have the coveted spot, the Walk of Fame Committee insisted the ineligibility of the reality TV actress.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame takes pride in its more than 2,500 stars. However, none of those stars have been granted to reality TV icons. The committee's spokesperson, Ana Martinez, carefully explained why reality show celebrities typically do not qualify for the star:

"We don't have a category for reality stars on the Walk of Fame. They're not giving a performance, it's just them going through their daily lives and rituals on TV. We honor people who've acted in or directed or produced an award-winning show or film. And it's the same with music, people who maybe have gold records. We're happy to consider reality stars once they get nominated for, or win, an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar."

In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, West expressed his disappointment for the committee's decision to not honor the 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' actress. He accuses the award-giving body to be "outdated".  Nonetheless, despite the brave move of West, the decision of the committee remains unmoved.
