Michael Fassbender Claims That Being An Actor Has Its Perks When It Comes To Girls: 'Three Years Ago, Girls Would’ve Walked Away After Two Sentences Left My Mouth," Says 'The Counselor' Star

The actor still does not have a lady love but potential applicants have to understand that Fassbender is very serious with his career. "I'm kind of selfish with the hours that I put into work," Fassbender says in the interview.

Nonetheless, the '12 Yeas a Slave' actor cannot deny that being an actor has its perks especially when it comes to girls. He recalls that women used to treat him differently when he wasn't making a name yet in Tinseltown: "I make a lot more friends, you know what I mean. You become a lot more successful in terms of, like, talking to a girl. She's all of a sudden more interested in me. I know that, like, three years ago, she would've walked away after two sentences left my mouth."

The actor, who also stars in 'The Counselor', remembers a time when she went out on a date and still appeared interesting despite his lifeless way of conversing: "I remember I was sitting at this table at this thing, and I was talking to this girl. I was like, 'God, I am so boring right now.' But she was like, 'That's so interesting!' I was like, 'You know what? Five years ago, this would not have been interesting.' "

Despite the success that he is getting, Fassbender does not deny that he sometimes struggle with the dark sides of himself but at the end of the day, he always strives to "smile as much as he can".
