MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 Release Date: Haswell-Powered Apple Laptop W/ 12 Hours Battery Life, Faster WiFi To Be Launched Tomorrow

MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 release date: The new line of MacBook Pros is finally expected to debuted at Apple’s event tomorrow with the tagline, “We still have a lot to cover.” The Apple laptops is speculated to have the new Intel Haswell chips codenamed “Haswell,” with at least 12-hour battery life.

According to Tech Crunch, the Apple event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Franisco and will have a 10 AM PDT kick-off time. Aside from the new MacBook Pro, the company is also expected to unveil the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 as well as the availability date of the OS X Mavericks.

French website MacG claims that the new MacBook Pros will go on sale shortly after the October 22 announcement, around October 24 or 25. The OS X Mavericks is expected to ship in time for new MacBook Pros to hit store shelves. It’s unconfirmed if the upcoming latest line of Apple laptops that will be announced tomorrow will have OS X Mavericks out of the box.

Other rumored specs for the new MacBook Pros is faster wi-fi. MacBook Air offered 802.11ac WiFI, which basically means faster connectivity. If the same WiFi configuration comes to the new MacBook Pros, we will only see faster connectivity and better online performance for the flagship laptop.

A report by Mac Rumors noted that the company maybe adding a new 12-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display in the middle of 2014, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The upcoming MacBook next year is expected to have a clamshell form factor even thinner than the current MacBook Air. It may also be launched at a lower price point than the current Retina MacBook Pro line because of an improving yield rate, according to the report.

“We expect the unprecedented 12” model will boast both the portability of the 11” model, and productivity of the 13” model. The high-resolution display will also offer the outstanding visual experience of the Retina MacBook Pro. The offering will likely be lighter and slimmer than the existing MacBook Air to further highlight ease of portability in the cloud computing era. We think the form factor will showcase a much improved clamshell structure, and that it will redefine laptop computing once again following the milestone created by the MacBook Air.”

According to Mac Rumors, Kuo’s claims is similar to a report by NPD DisplaySearch analysts earlier this week claiming Apple is planning to produce a 12-inch MacBook Air next year. If ever, this might actually be a slimmer version of the MacBook Pro.
