Rihanna Mosque Photos Cause Storm Of Controversy In Abu Dhabi [VIDEO]; Pour It Up Singer's Instagram Account Has Caused Two Criminal Cases; Rihanna's Pictures "Violate The Moral Codes Of Access To The Mosque"

Rihanna Mosque Photos on Instagram Cause Religious Controversy: Rihanna was recently in Abu Dhabi on her "Diamonds" world tour and took a break to see the sights, going to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.  She took some photos of herself posing there, and even though she's more covered up than usual in a black jumpsuit, she has caused outrage over the disrespect of the holy ground.

Rihanna was allegedly asked to leave the mosque as a result of her picture taking.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque released a statement about the Rihanna Mosque Photos, saying: "In the event of behavior that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations - such as taking inappropriate pictures, posing in ways that are improper in the context of sacred place, talking loudly, or eating - the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilizational and tolerant attributes of Islam."

"Here, the Centre refers to a recent incident, involving a singer who came for a private visit to the mosque, at a gate that is not reserved for visitors, without prior coordination with the Centre's management and without identifying herself."

According to the statement, Rihanna "left without entering the mosque, after being asked to do so, due to the fact that she had taken some pictures that do not conform with the conditions and regulations put in place by the Centre's management to regulate visits in a way that takes the status and sanctity of the mosque into consideration."

Rihanna has taken some controversial photos before.  Rihanna loves to take selfies, and in Thailand she took one with an endangered slow loris.  Thanks to the Rihanna selfie on Instagram, the slow loris poachers were arrested.

Rihanna was on a short break from her Diamonds World tour when she shared the Instagram self-portrait with her nearly 32 million fans and tweeted: "Look who was talking dirty to me!"

The Rihanna selfie photograph shows Rihanna holding up a slow loris.  A slow loris is a furry primate with large eyes and a long tail, which is native to south-east Asia.  Slow loris a protected species in Thailand. Along with elephants and orangutans, the loris is often peddled by touts as a photo opportunity for tourists.

Authorities say they have long struggled to stop wildlife touts in the area.  According to police, the touts use spies to alert one another of police raids and avoid arrest.

However, this time the Thai government moved in quickly after Rihanna's picture - which has been retweeted tens of thousands of times and has more than 231,000 Instagram "likes". The Thai government ordered the ministry of natural resources and Phuket governor to set up a sting on Sunday night in the Bangla Road area of Patong beach.

Two men, a 20-year-old man and 16-year-old, were arrested during the raid and two lorises confiscated from their possession, according to local media reports. If charged, the pair could face up to four years in jail and a fine of 40,000 baht.

The Phuket district chief, Weera Kerdsirimongkon, told Associated Press: "It's like a cat-and-mouse game. But this time it's bigger because a celebrity like Rihanna posted the picture, and there were more than 200,000 'likes' from around the world."

Rihanna also caused more arrests when she tweeted from a live sex show in Thailand - thankfully she didn't add photos!
