iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Release Date: Apple’s Smaller Tablet Expected To Have Retina Display, iPad 5 Specs Include A7 Processor, Battery Improvements – Launching Tom.

iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 release date: It was only a few weeks ago when Apple released the highly anticipated iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C and now the Cupertino tech giant and the world’s most valuable company is at it again. Last week, the company sent out invitation for an upcoming event this October 22 and many are expecting that it will be releasing the newest iPads at the said event.

The iPad Mini 2 will feature a Retina Display and a major improvement on the 1024 x 768 pixel resolution of its predecessor, according to a report by U.K.’s the Mirror. It may also have a TouchID fingerprint scanner.

The company is also expected to update the 9.7-inch iPad. It’s supposed to have an A7X processor, battery improvements and enhanced screen resolution.

Both iPads are expected to be slimmer and lighter than their current versions and would most probably be priced at the same range. They also will have iOS 7 out of the box.

Aside from the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 launching at tomorrow’s Apple event, many are also expecting to see the already announced OS X Mavericks having its availability date. The much awaited MacBook Pro Retina Display with Intel Haswell processors is also expected to be unveiled tomorrow.

According to Tech Crunch, the Apple event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Franisco and will have a 10 AM PDT kick-off time.
