‘Agents of SHIELD’ Is Just The Start; Marvel Will Have 4 TV Shows In The Works! Will Daredevil Be One Of Them?

Marvel Studios has four TV series in development. These are for cable networks or video on demand.

After the success of "Agents of SHIELD" which is now picked up for a full season, Marvel says it is just the start.

Screenrant has details on two other series:  Marvel reportedly develops a second series based around the "Agent Carter" Marvel One-Shot short film attached to the home video release of "Iron Man 3."

That second Marvel live-action TV show would be a WWII period piece, ideally starring Hayley Atwell as the titular non-superpowered hero, but that's just one of many television ideas secretly in development at the studio.

Meanwhile, Agents of SHIELD is currently brushing off any tie-in rumors. While they operate under the same Marvel Cinematic Universe, creator Joss Whedon always reiterates that the series is independent.

Marvel's head, Kevin Feige, has revealed that he will continue until Phase 3 of the Avengers. They have also acquired the rights to Daredevil and The Punisher as the rights deal stipulated a deadline for a movie to be made. That deal has passed and now Fox has surrendered the rights back to Marvel.

Feige has this to say about 'The Man without Fear': "We're trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now. Punisher could show up at one point. You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don't want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time."

It is a possibility that a Daredevil reboot could comprise one of the series. Since the former Daredevil, Ben Affleck is signed to play Batman, audiences are ready to welcome a new face.

Daredevil is a 'street level' hero. He is not a cosmic or mystical being. It could translate to action sequences on the small screen.
