Cee Lo Green Accused Of Assault – DA Drops Sexual Assault Charges Against “The Lady Killer"

Cee Lo Green was accused of slipping ecstasy into woman's drink in Los Angeles. The "The Voice" vocal coach pleaded not guilty of rape after the singer reportedly went to the hotel room of the woman after planting the ecstasy over dinner.

Although he pleaded innocent with the rape charges due to insufficient evidence, the 38-year-old might be facing jail time if the court proves he slipped the party drug in the lady's drink. Green will face four years in prison for giving the 33-year-old woman ecstasy without the victim's knowledge if he will be proven guilty.

The singer's attorney, Blair Berk, said in a statement last Monday that her client was pleased that the court dropped any charges of sexual assault.

"Mr. Green encouraged a full and complete investigation of those claims, and he was confident once conducted, he would be cleared of having any wrongful intent and it would be established that any relations were consensual," the lawyer said. "Cee Lo had faith that if the true facts were known, the district attorney would reject those charges."

The Grammy winning artist's attorney tells sources, "We are pleased that the Los Angeles County District Attorney has completed its investigation and concluded that the evidence did not support the false and unfounded claims made over a year ago." "As it relates to the one charge of furnishing or sharing ecstasy, Mr. Green will responsibly address that matter in a court of law." She added.

NBC refused to give any comment about the situation and Cee Lo's future with the show that he is starring in. "The Voice" is one of the most popular television shows the network company currently has.

Cee Lo Green stars in the NBC show, "The Voice," which is currently on its fifth season that airs every Monday.
