Nexus 10 2 Release Date Fixed For Thursday, October 24 Alongside Android 4.4 KitKat and Nexus 5 [RUMOR]; Invitations For Google Play Event Sent Out

After not appearing on the Nexus 10 2 release date last week (October 14), the new full-sized Google tablet is now rumored to be unveiled this week.

A new Nexus 10 2 release date is emerging from recent reports, suggesting that the Android tablet may be launched this coming Thursday, October 24. According to Christian Post, "Reports are confirming that Google sent out invitations to an event last week, and it is rumored that the company will spill the beans on some new things it has in store for the future at the event."

"Join us for a night out with Google Play," as stated on the invite.

The Google Play event is schedule this Thursday, October 24, 7 PM ET in New York City.

Because of this, it led many tech enthusiasts and experts to believe that October 24 could also be the Nexus 10 2 release date, alongside the arrival of new Google products such as the next-gen smartphone, the Nexus 5, as well as Android 4.4 KitKat.

Aside from Nexus 10 2 release date reports, the rumor mill for the manufacturer of the new Android tablet is also in high gear, with Samsung and ASUS being the top two choices. But now, it appears that ASUS is the one in-charge for the production of Nexus 10 2, as evidenced by a photo of an inventory listing tweeted by @evleaks which reads, "Google Asus Nexus 10."

Nexus 10 2 release date and specs reports also suggest that the new tablet may be sporting an NVIDIA Tegra 4 T40X quad-core processor, 10.1-inch display screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution at 300 ppi, 5 MP rear camera, 2 GB RAM, micro-HDMI port, speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology, and USB 3.0 port.

Expect more reports about Nexus 10 2 release date as October 24 approaches.
