Pokemon X And Y [RUMORS]: Move Variations Within The Same Pokedex Entry, And The Next Pokemon Region?

Pokemon X and Y have been released, and several rumors regarding the Pokedex and the next Pokemon game have surfaced, with many fans theorizing on their credibility.

The first of the Pokemon X and Y rumors is based on an image allegedly of someone with a team of five Fennekins. The player is hovered over the TM for the move Thunder, and as you can see from the image above, only one Fennekin can learn the move, while the other four cannot.

"That's crazy," writes ZiiaChan on Pokejungle. "What makes that Fennekin special? It being a male? It having the Magician Ability?"

As some Pokemon X and Y fans may know, the ability Magician allows the Pokemon to steal the held item of the Pokemon it hits with an attack.

But what does that have to do with a Fennekin's ability to learn Thunder?

Others are simply suggesting that the image to be a fake, but until someone verifies this with their own experimentation, it is an unconfirmed rumor. After all, there may be other Pokemon with this interesting move variation...

Another very interesting rumor is that the next Pokemon game (many believe it to be Pokemon Z) will take place in a new region!

This rumor has been around ever since Pokemon X and Y have been released, as many dialogue in the game hint to neighboring regions, as well as that hiker who refuses to reveal which yet unnamed region he is from.

But, popular Pokemon blogger Marriland has composed a video on YouTube which adds another piece of evidence to the rumor that another region will be introduced in the next Pokemon game.

In his video, Marriland talks about a note in the Pokemon X and Y strategy guide about Berry farming.

"In addition to the thirteen Berries that can only be cultivated through mutation, another fourteen Berries do not appear in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, and can be obtained only by trading them from other regions."

Given that the only way to trade Pokemon is through the upcoming Pokemon Bank service, AND that items cannot be traded through this service, Marriland believes this means the strategy guide is in fact alluding to regions outside of the currently known regions in Pokemon.

What do you think of these Pokemon X and Y rumors? Is Pokemon Z the next Pokemon game? Will this be a DLC? Do you want there to be a new region in the next game?
