Leah Remini Scientology Scuffle Worsens: "Being Made An Example Of" By Church Of Scientology

Leah Remini said she is worried about being made an example of by the Church of Scientology.

Actress Leah Remini has been was subpoenaed to testify in a lawsuit against the church.

She left the Church of Scientology in July after a very public split. Now, however, Remini revealed that Scientologists hope she fails on Dancing With The Stars so she can be an example of what happens to people who leave the church.

While this seems somewhat far-fetched-after all, failure or success on DWTS is a matter of dance skill tinged with personality, not religious salvation or lack thereof-Remini is pretty convinced.

"The church is looking for me to fail," Remini claimed on Tuesday night's episode of DWTS. "So they can say, 'Look what happens when you leave.'"

Remini left Scientology over the controlling actions of the Church, including the disappearance of the wife of a prominent member, and over intimidating actions against any who spoke out against Scientology policies.

Remini was subpoenaed to testify on October 15 in a case against the church, howeverbut the church has postponed her deposition indefinitely.

The case regards former member Monique Rathbun, who is suing the church and its leader, David Miscavige, over harassment of Rathburn and her husband Marty.

However, Remini may know too much. Lawyers representing the Scientologists have said they "don't particularly want that deposition taken," attorney Marc Wiegand said. "But we're entitled to discovery on matters that are relevant, and this is a relevant matter."

"Who knows what may come up," Ray Jeffrey, lead counsel for the plaintiffs, said.
