Apple's new MacBook Pros come in two sizes: 13 inch and 15 inch, as well as a cylindrical desktop unit, the Mac Pro, ABC News reports.

The price of the new MacBook Pros come in at $1,299 and $1,999 respectively, while the Mac Pro costs $2,999.

The MacBook Pro prices represent a $400 and $200 price cut on their respective forerunners, The Huffington Post reports.

Both have a release date today; Apple announced shipping would start Tuesday.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro weighs 3.46 lb and is 0.71 inches thick, which makes it smaller than the previous version, which weighed 3.57 lb and was 0.75 inches thick.

Apple didn't provide those specs for the larger model on stage, The Huffington Post reports.

Battery life has improved for both of the new MacBook Pros. The 13-inch Macbook Pro will have up to 9 hours of battery life, while the 15-inch version will run for up to 8 hours.

The graphics for both MacBooks will be 90 percent faster than before, and both will feature faster WiFi and Apple's new operating system, OS X Mavericks. Apple offering the new OS for free to many existing users.

Both are also "environmentally friendly" and highly recyclable, said Phil Schiller, Apple's VP of Marketing, The Huffington Post reports.

Mavericks operating system promises better battery life and accessibility options. Users can individually tag files and categorize them for easy finding later on. In addition, applications like Maps and iBooks have also been improved, ABC News reports.
