Android 4.4 KitKat Release Date Rumors: Launching Set For Tomorrow, October 24, During Google Play Press Event; Internet Giant Bought FlexyCore Company To Improve OS?

Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors continue to dominate the mobile world especially since Google will be holding a media event this week.

The Android 4.4 KitKat was initially expected to arrive mid-October but apparently, it did not push through. Thus, the rumors shifted to another possible Android 4.4 Kitkat release date which is October 24.

Google is expected to host a press event for the Play Store tomorrow, October 24. According to speculations about Android 4.4 KitKat release date, this event could also be the platform for Google to release its latest offerings. And one of most awaited Google product is the Android 4.4 Kitkat, which will provide updates on the user interface of the OS as well as other new features.

Specifically, Android 4.4 KitKat will feature a revamped user interface, longer battery life, better performance of the devices and improved optimization for old Android mobile devices.

As for more news about Android 4.4 KitKat release date, Gotta Be Mobile posted that the internet and tech giant bought another company this week - a French company called FlexyCore. The company focuses on software optimization with Android and Android apps. Moreover, reports claimed that the deal is worth around $23 million and the company has already joined Google.

Aside from Android 4.4 KitKat release, there are also speculations that the October 24 event from Google will take new hardware products like the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 10 2 to center stage tomorrow.

However, Google is not yet making any comments whether there will be new products to be unveiled during their media event. The internet company has already sent out invitations for the event, and it reads:

"Join us for a night out with Google Play - Music, movies, games and a special performance by Capital Cities." 

The Google Play event is expected to begin at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT in New York City.
