Eminem: Drug Abuse Almost Lead To Rapper's Death, His Liver And Kidneys Shut Down

Eminem: drug abuse of the rapper almost lead to his death. He admits he could have died had he not made it to the hospital sooner.

Eminem drug abuse rumors have been confirmed by the Grammy winner himself. In a documentary released this year called "How to Make Money Selling Drugs" Slim Shady opened up about his close brush with death following a drug overdose.

The world-famous singer was into taking prescription pills in high numbers. Eminem drug abuse rumors were further substantiated by the rapper himself when he told Vibe magazine, "Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don't even know what I'm taking."

In the "How to Make Money Selling Drugs" documentary, the singer also known by his real name Marshall Mathers, confirmed many more of the Eminem drug abuse rumors. He stated, "Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died. My organs were shutting down. My liver, kidneys, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn't think I was gonna make it."

When he left the hospital, Eminem's drug abuse was still taking toll on his mental state. The Detroit native confessed, "I remember just walking around my house and thinking every single day, like, I'm gonna f------- die. I'm looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this."

The songwriter had to get back motor skills after the drug overdose.

"It's been a learning process," he went on to say. "I'm growing. I just couldn't believe that anybody could be naturally happy or naturally function or be just enjoying life in general without being on something."

He added, "So I would say to anybody, 'It does get better, you know. It just does.'"
