Miley Cyrus Twerking: Robin Thicke Tells Oprah He Had Nothing To Do With Miley's Twerking At The VMA

Miley Cyrus twerking on the VMA garnered a lot of attention. Robin Thicke talked to Oprah Winfrey about the performance.

In an Oprah episode that was broadcast on October 13, Oprah questioned Thicke and he had this to say about Miley Cyrus twerking on stage: "People ask me if I twerk, and I'm like, I'm the twerkee. I don't twerk. I'm just twerked upon."

The queen of television hosts then asked him about how he felt about all the attention his VMA with the former Disney star got. He replied, "This is funny to me, it's silly."

The 31-year-old singer then told Oprah he didn't even notice Miley Cyrus twerking because he was busy concentrating on his own performance.

Robin Thicke is an American-Canadian musician, actor and songwriter.

He has collaborated with other celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige and Usher. Thicke has worked with Usher on his album Usher's Confessions as well as working with Lil Wayne on the Tha Carter III LP.

Thicke was also on the ABC show Duets. He was a mentor, judge and singer on the show.

"You don't think of it as sexual?" Oprah asked, referring to Miley Cyrus twerking.

To this, Thicke answered, "Well, I was onstage, so I didn't see it. So to me, I'm walking out toward Miley, I'm not thinking sex, I'm thinking fun ... I'msinging my butt off. I'm singing and I'm looking at the sky and I'm singing and I'm not really paying attention to all that. That's on her."
