Kris Humphries Dad Weighs In On Son's Ex-Wife Kim Kardashian Engagement To Kanye West: Rapper Used Same Engagement Ring Designer As The NBA Power Forward

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got engaged in a flashy ceremony at AT&T stadium, San Francisco where the rapper popped the question, to Kim's utter surprise and shock.

Kanye proposed Kim with a brilliant 15 carat sparkler that is speculated to be worth $5million to $8 million. Lorraine Schwartz, who had designed the engagement ring from her former husband Kris Humphries, has designed the current ring as well.

Humphries' engagement ring was bigger than Kanye's and was recently auctioned at Christie's auction house in New York City for $6.2million.

In an interview to NY Daily, NBA Power Forward Kris Humphries' father William Humphries pointed out the common designer, adding, "(West) probably didn't choose it. Does a leopard really change its spots? I don't think so. Not much changes, it's just different actors this time around."

However, sources say that Kanye was involved in the design and selection of the engagement ring, where he 'He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air.' The diamond is reportedly a type 2A, D-stone.

When prompted for comment on his ex-daughter in-law's engagement and the buzz surrounding it, William Humphries said, "I don't really care, it's water under the bridge. But I wish her all best," later adding that Kris has moved over everything and concentrating on his career with Boston Celtics.

Though he claimed that he and his son Kris are not fluttered by Kim's engagement, third time around, William Humphries did say, "Well, if Bruce and Kris are any indication, I'd say good luck. She's stepping right into it all over again,"

Meanwhile, the Kardashians and Jenners are excited over Kim-Kanye engagement. Fans are wondering why this was not made a part of the reality TV show 'Keeping up with Kardashians, ' which had once programmed and broadcast the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Their marital bliss lasted a total of 72 days.
