Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet, Price, Release Date: Windows RT 8.1 Powered Device By Nokia Sports 10.1-Inch Display, 2.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800, Starts At $499

Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet is the new Microsoft-owned brand’s Windows RT 8.1-powered tablet. The company unveiled the 2520 at the Nokia World: Abu Dhabi where it also debuted five other new devices. Lumia 2520 specs include a 10.1-inch full HD display, 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 and a rear facing 6.7 megapixel camera with an f1.9 aperture and offering deep level adjustments. It is expected to retail at $499 in selected markets; it will hit stores within the 4Q of 2013.

The tablet has 4G LTE standards and is expected to be available from both AT&T and Verizon. AT&T has recently announced that it will have an exclusive contract on the tablet, but Verizon may launch the same device but bearing a different name.

In an article by IGN, it described that the Nokia Lumia 2520 has a capacitive touch display with Gorilla Glass 2 and, based from a statement by Nokia, will create “less reflection than other tablets in the marketplace.” The front-facing camera of the 2520 has a 2MP camera.

The Nokia Lumia 2520, similar to the Microsoft Surface 2 has a keyboard cover, called the Nokia Power Keyboard, complete with a touchpad and USB port. The keyboard itself will provide five hours of additional battery life, complementing the 8000 mAh internal battery which is said to provide 10 hours of video playback on a single charge.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 is available in 32GB storage option and is upgradeable via microSD. The announcement of the new Nokia tablet was made a few days before Apple announced the newest iteration of the iPad Mini and the iPad.
