Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date, News: Flagship Phablet’s Price In India Gets Price Cut Less Than A Month After Launch, Now Being Sold For RS 47,900

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date in India occurred less than a month ago and aspiring users of the gadget seemingly gets an early deal. According to the Times of India, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is getting a price cut. It was initially launched for RS49,900 but is now being sold for RS2,000 less or RS 47,900 (est at $779).

Samsung is also offering a 10% cashback on certain credit card purchases as part of its offer. Not to mention, it’s also offering the Note 3 in three and six interest-free monthly installments.

According to the Times of India, the timing of the price cut comes at the heels of the arrival of Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in the country. Apple will begin selling the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on November 1 in India.

The iPhone 5S will cost RS54,000 while the ‘cheaper’ iPhone 5C will cost RS 42,000. The release of the Apple gadgets is part of the company’s next phase of iPhone launches worldwide, reported the Times of India.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the successor model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It has a 5.7-inch screen with a SuperAMOLED panel and has a FullHD resolution with 1920x1080 pixels and is the first smartphone to pack in 3GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB internal storage. The Note 3 also supports microSD card. In a review by the Times of India, it notes that the Note 3 can shoot 13MP images, while it has a 2MP front camera.

The Indian version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features the device with an Exynos Octa 5420 processor and a weigh of 168 grams. The processor has two set of cores. One set of four cores is based on A15 architecture and it runs at 1.9GHz. The other set of low-performance cores based on A7 architecture runs at 1.3GHz, noted the Times of India.

The country’s newspaper noted that Samsung is likely to release a software patch by the end of this year that will allow the device to use all eight cores. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 processor features the next generation Mali chip called T682, one of the fastest mobile graphics chips at the moment.
