There has been a lot of new Android phones in 2013, and even before the year ends, a number of emerging contenders have already announced their own phones. If you are looking for a fresh design and interface, then you better try Micromax's new offering.

Today, the manufacturer took the wraps off its Canvas Turbo phone packed with a 5" display. Reportedly produced by world-renowned manufacturer Sharp, the screen also has 1080p resolution to take on popular brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC.

Aside from the impressive display, the Canvas Turbo also sports a 1.5Ghz quad-core processor powered by Cortex-A7 cores. The Android phone also has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, Micromax didn't include a microSD expansion slot for more storage.

If you're a phone photographer, the phone does not disappoint as well. It packs a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, and an impressive 5MP front camera.

The manufacturer also included a 2,000mAh battery to help the phone last for hours. With Bluetooth, Wi-Fi support, and GPS currently onboard, users will surely need enough juice to last for the day. It also comes with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

According to GSM Arena, the Canvas Turbo will retail for INR19,990 (about €235) in India and will hit the stores on October 26.
