Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are planning on naming their unborn baby boy "Tad"? Simon Cowell revealed to Access Hollywood why he chose this name for his baby boy, who he is expecting with baby mama Lauren Silverman.

During an interview with "Access Hollywood" on Sunday (Oct. 20), Simon Cowell told Shaun Robinson that he was happy to be having a baby boy with baby mama Lauren Silverman.

He even joked that he had a possible named picked out for his soon-to-be son.

"The first time I saw it, it was like that big and I called him Tad because he looked like a Tadpole, I still want to call him Tad," Cowell said, Zap2it reports.

How sweet!

When Robinson offered "Simon Jr." as a possible alternative, Cowell stuck with his original choice for a name for his baby boy.

"That I don't know yet. I'm still gonna go for Tad," Cowell said.

During the interview, the "X Factor" host confirmed to "Access Hollywood" that the couple was having a baby boy.

According to Zap2it, Cowell didn't seem surprised when he found out he was going to have a son. "Well it was 50/50, I wouldn't have minded either way ... but I kind of knew it was going to be a boy," he claimed.

Cowell also expressed even more excitement for fatherhood. "You just become so attached to it," Cowell said of his unborn baby boy.

"I never thought I would be that way, because I never wanted kids before but now, I'm completely opposite."

And will Cowell and Silverman tie the knot soon?

According to TVNZ, a source told The Sun newspaper: "Simon's mum has always dreamt of the day Simon settles down with one woman and he's determined for her to be a big part of the day."

Sounds like a wedding may be in the cards!

Lauren and Simon were caught up in a very public scandal, when it was revealed that she was pregnant with Simon's child while still technically married to Simon's best friend, wealthy real-estate owner Andrew Silverman. The couple divorced, and since then Lauren has been frequently spotted spending quality time with Simon.

Andrew and Lauren Silverman have a seven-year-old son, Adam.
