According to Geeky Gadgets, the Google Nexus 5, which will be the first device to launch with Android 4.4 Kit Kat operating system software, is rumored to be announced next Monday, on the 28th of October. Many are expecting the release date of the Nexus 5 to be announced on that date too.

According to a report from MobileSyrup, the new Nexus 5 is expected to launch on the Google Play Store on Thursday, Oct. 31, IB Times reports.

Specs for the Google Nexus 5 are likely to include a 5-inch 1080x1920 resolution screen, 443ppi pixel density, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and LTE connectivity, IB Times reports. The phone is rumored to also feature 16GB and 32GB internal storage options, an 8-megapixel OIS rear camera, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, near-field communication and wireless charging.

Other rumors suggest specs like a 2300mAh battery, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, proximity/ambient light, pressure sensors, and a micro SIM slot, according to IB Times.

The smartphone also recently appeared (more like leaked) on the Google Play Store. On the Google Play Store, the Nexus 5 had a starting price of $349 for the 16GB version, IB Times reports.
