iPad Mini 2 Release Date May Still Be Delayed In Spite Announcement, Analyst Says Stock Shortage Would Still Be The Problem

On Tuesday, Apple finally took the wraps off of its new generation iPad 5, (now called iPad Air), a few upgraded Macbooks, and the highly-anticipated iPad mini 2. But while both the iPad and the laptops have their exact release dates already, the iPad mini 2 release date is vaguely set 'within' November.

The absence of an actual release date, an analyst claims, points to the fact that the supplies for the Retina mini are very tight, and that previous rumors regarding an official release early next year would be imminent.

In a report by BGR and CNET, IHS analyst  Rhoda Alexander pointed out that the stocks for the iPad mini 2 are 'ridiculously tight' once it has been released in November.

Indeed, the iPad Air already has an exact date of release which is November, but the smaller slate may not have enough supplies for the holiday season.
