Apple Users Swarm For Blackberry BBM for iPhone Despite Slamming Instagram For Joining Android, Are They Being Hypocrites?
Blackberry BBM for iPhone download was rolled out last week and according to reports from Blackberry, the BBM messenger app rose to the topmost position on Apple's App Store in less than 24 hours.
Millions of Apple users registered for the free BBM app on iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. They did not expect to have to wait in a queue to download the app, however, they still waited for a couple of days before they could lay hands on the only product that was exclusive to Blackberry mobile phone users.
Cut to April 2012, where Apple product users created a lot of hue and cry when Instagram announced the roll out of Instagram for Android, later followed by Instagram for PC, Windows and Google Play.
Apple iPhone and iPad users took to Twitter and Facebook to rant about how allowing Instagram on Android and other platforms will ruin the social photo and video sharing service. Until April 2012, Instagram was exclusive to Apple users only.
Some iPhone owners said that non-Apple smartphones were not smart enough for Instagram while others said 'others' are encroaching upon their exclusive Instagram club. While some of the comments were on lighter side to the amusement of online community, some of them took a nasty form.
Compared with their reaction then, does the enthusiastic lining up of iPhone users to download Blackberry messenger app smack of double standards? Do they seem to want the best of everything without sharing what they have?

Meanwhile, Canadian mobile manufacturer Blackberry also plans to roll out other services such as BBM Video, BBM Channel etc. It also has plans to introduce ads, just like Instagram, since it has announced that the app will remain free for all the platforms.
