Android 4.4 KitKat Release Date: Latest Google OS Arriving This Friday, November 1 With Nexus 5; New Operating System Compatible With Android TV?

The most recent Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors are suggesting that the new iteration of Google's mobile operating system might arrive on November 1.

Accordingly, the Android 4.4 KitKat release date set for November 1 may coincide with the arrival of Google's newest smartphone, the Nexus 5. The alleged Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat release date further intensified when a prolific tipster, @ evleaks, shared a photo of the smartphone via Twitter. According to Christian Today, the posted photo comes with a caption that reads, "In White. 11/1."

Because of this, a lot of tech fans started to suppose that Nexus 5 may arrive on 11/1 or November 1, which could also be the schedule of the release of Android 4.4 KitKat.

Meanwhile, other Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors are pointing to October 31 launch of the new products. However, all these Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors should still be taken with a grain of salt, since Google has yet to confirm all the alleged launch details of their upcoming products.

As for more Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors, International Business Times reported that the new Google operating system might be compatible to Android TV, the internet giant's rebranded version of its Google TV.  As posted on the site, citing ETNews, "Google plans not only to implement Android 4.4 into the user interface on TVs, but also plans to rebrand its already released "Google TV" platform as "Android TV."

Android KitKat is expected to be available to a larger range of smartphones and tablets. As its splash page states, "It's our goal with Android KitKat to make an amazing Android experience available for everybody." Now, tech fans are also thinking that Android 4.4 Kitkat may be the connection between mobile devices and TVs.

Android 4.4 KitKat is believed to offer a refreshed user interface, better optimization for older Android mobile devices, improve the battery life of smartphones and tablets, and ultimately,  provide better performance to Android products.
