Sony Xperia Z1 Mini Price, Release Date: New Compact Version Of Flagship Has 4.3-inch Display, Snapdragon 800 Processor, 20MP Camera, Launching Worldwide On Nov. 12

Sony Xperia Z Mini release date worldwide will be on November 12 at the company’s event in Shanghai, according to a report by Know Your Mobile. The Japanese tech giant is presenting a compact version of its flagship, which has not suffered in specs despite being smaller in size.

Specs for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini, which has already been launched in Japan as Sony Xperia Z1f include a 4.3-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 800 Processor and a 20MP camera. If the specs of the Z1f will apply to the Z1 Mini, as launched by NTT DoCoMo, it will also have the Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The expected storage for the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is 16GB with microSD support and the camera will have Sony’s G Lens and BIONZ image processor. KYM reports that the build and design of the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is very similar to the Sony Xperia Z1, with a glass on front and back, an aluminum surround and full IP58 water and dust proofing certification.

The huge deal noted for the launch of the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is that it’s the first “Mini” to use the same internal spec as its full-size counterpart. The “Mini” versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One all had downsized specs compared to their original flagship version.

Many anticipate the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini to have full 4G LTE and 3G (including HSPA+) as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS, which Know Your Mobile says is a standard for a smartphone in this class and is very much consistent with Sony’s previous offerings.
