Nokia Lumia 1520 Phablet Trumps The iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 And Sony Xperia Z Ultra In Sunlight Legibility Test

The Nokia Lumia 1520 was launched exactly a week ago, alongside the larger Lumia 2520 and several Ashas. During the event, Nokia put emphasis on the phone's 6″ ClearBlack IPS LCD with Apica's Assertive display technology.

The guys at GadgetBoys decided to put this feature to the test - and pit it against the best in the business. The contenders include some of the top Droids in the land - Sony's Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, and Apple's recently released iPhone 5s.

In the test, all of the devices were tested in both low-light and good lighting conditions where. To give everyone a fair chance, all of them were adjusted to their respective maximum brightness.

In the sunlight legibility part of the test, the Nokia's display dominated Sony's Triluminous display, the iPhone 5s' Retina, and Samsung's Super AMOLED.

However, low-light conditions put up a close fight among the contenders. See for yourself in the video below.
