Entourage Movie Release Date: The Team Is About To Start Full Speed Production – It’s A Go Says Writer/Director Doug Ellin

After much deliberations and holdouts in the deal making processing Adrian Grenier, Jesse Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly – the alleged cause of the holdouts – are finally about to sign on.

So when is the Entourage movie release date? Probably that’s something fans would have to find out in a couple of weeks or so.

Furthermore, according to sources from the studios, the deals are not yet finalized but everyone is confident. Dillon’s and Conolly’s are in the final stages of the deal.

Writer/director Doug Ellin was so enthusiastic about the upcoming movie he even tweeted about it:

Prior to the recent news, the production encountered some setback a few weeks back due to alleged holdbacks by some of the actors. When asked about the movie’s production date, Mark Wahlberg, the Executive Producer and inspiration behind the show, said in October that there were some issues holding up the film starting production and it had nothing to do with him.

"Soon as [those] guys stop being so greedy," said Wahlberg who quickly retracted from the comment. "No, we just want to make sure ... it's one of those things where if the movie is a success, then we'll get to make a lot more of them, and then everybody will make a lot of money. We want to make it for the fans. It's the most I've ever been asked about a movie," he explained.

Speculations then began circulating about who might actually be the “greedy guys.” Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara were the first names to appear who might have caused the holdouts. Moreover, Jeremy Piven, who plays super agent Ari Gold, was dragged in the drama as well.

Finally Ferrara who played Turtle in the HBO series spoke out about the issue during an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

"Is that what the streets are saying? Do you believe the streets?" he asked. "Here's what I'll say about holdouts: Athletes hold out when they have a contract they don't want to honor. It goes on more than you think. There's so many different parts of making a movie. It could be as simple as scheduling. Like on one week, someone has to be somewhere. No one is holding out. We knew the whole time we wanted to do this movie. We're actually kind of on schedule, believe it or not."

As the interview continued, Ferrara was even more confident about the movie. "It's looking good. It's looking real good. It could be closed today. I could go look at my phone right now, and it's done. It's real close. We're hoping to shoot in January. Hoping," he said.

And just last night he made a statement via Twitter confirming that the production is officially a go:

Following it up with another tweet :

Even Adrian Grenier joins the tweet barrage:

Looks like he’s not the only one glad about the movie The All Star Player Kevin Durant too!
