NBA Tip Off 2014[VIDEO] – ‘Bad Blood’ In The East! Sports Guy Bill Simmons Picks Chicago Bulls Over Miami Heat As 2014 Champions

The Eastern Conference has taken over the NBA, and with the animosity between its top five teams, they could spill more blood than “Game of Thrones.”

Meanwhile, Bill Simmons, nicknamed “The Sports Guy” is one of ESPN’s top sportswriters. He has written books about basketball, the latest being “The Book Of Basketball.” He recently did a team by team preview of every NBA team along with former Fab Five member Jalen Rose, who’s now an NBA analyst himself on the Grantland channel.

There were some shockers along this month long endeavor, but the biggest shock came at number 2—which Simmons assigned to the Miami Heat.
Throughout the previews, the two almost always agreed, although they would dissent in some of the predictions. However, at number 2, Jalen Rose openly aired his disagreement.

For the top ranking Chicago Bulls, Bill Simmons almost copped out, saying that the rank of number 1 meant that “the Bulls will be the best regular season team in 2013-14.” He seemed to back off from predicting the champions.

In the latter part of the video, after analyzing what makes Chicago a strong team (Derrick Rose offense, team defense, great coaching) and some intangible factors (players embrace their role to the hilt) The Sports Guy takes on the challenge and clearly declares that the Chicago Bulls will be the 2014 NBA Champions.

As if the East does not have enough Bad blood between themselves. Aside from the hatred between Bulls and Heat, there’s Heat-Pacers because of their intense Eastern Conference Finals duel. There’s Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks: they spent all summer trading ‘Who rules the Big Apple?’ barbs. The latest involved JR Smith and Paul Pierce. Speaking of The Truth, Lebron James pretty much called him and KG hypocrites for ‘leaving Boston.’ There’s also Knicks-Heat (age old rivalry of Melo and Lebron dating back to high school) and Bulls-Pacers (Derrick Rose dismissed them as rivals in their preseason game, and the Pacers took offense).
Tip Off is Tonight! We can hardly wait! Bring on the Bad Blood!
