Install Official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 2; XXDMG1 Firmware GT-N7100 Units Now Out!

The latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is now available. 

The official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is believed to be rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 very soon. But while waiting for the current iteration of the Jelly Bean, users of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 can opt to install the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update on their devices.

The firmware N7100XXDMG is based on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and it provides minor improvements and bug fixes. Take note that this firmware is compatible to the international version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which bears the model number GT-N7100.

The official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update has been rolled out to various countries. It can be accessed via Samsung KIES or Over-the-Air method.

Those Samsung Galaxy Note 2 owners who were not able to install the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update  via the official methods can decide to manually install the firmware using Odin tool. Since the XXDMG1 firmware for Androiod 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is an unbranded version, it can be installed on any factory unlocked units of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with model number GT-N7100. However, GT-N7100 units from Asian countries including Hong Kong, China and Taiwan cannot be installed with official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update using the XXDMG1 firmware.

Before proceeding with the installation process, make sure to install the correct USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 so the Android device will easily connect with the computer. Users also need to create a backup of all the data and settings stored on their Samsung Galaxy Note 2 before installing the official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. Use ClockWorkMod or TWRP when making a backup.

Furthermore, the battery level of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 should be 80 percent or higher before installing the XXDMG1 firmware. Make sure, as well, that the USB Debugging mode is enabled on the phone.
