Upcoming Android Tablets 2013: Lenovo Announces Two Slate Versions Of Yoga Line, Features Dolby Speakers, 18 Hours Of Battery Life

As the world's leading PC maker, Lenovo has successfully penetrated the smartphone market with impressive but affordable handsets. Now, the Chinese manufacturer borrows from its own Yoga line to join the Android slate race. If you are searching for the best and upcoming Android tablets for 2013, then there are no reasons why you should not check these two new releases.

In a report by GSM Arena, Lenovo has announced an 8-inch and a 10-inch tablet powered by Android.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 and Yoga Tablet 10 boast a 1920x1080 resolution which is perfect for consumers who use their slates to play videos, movies and games. The internals of both devices are not impressive enough, sporting a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and 1GB of RAM.

However, what separates the two from most Android tablets is the bulge located at the top of each device. This small feature enables both the Yoga Tablet 8 and 10 to be used in three different modes, similar to the manufacturer's ultrabook versions.

The first mode is Hold, where the user can hold the circular bulge with one hand, thus allowing him to use the tablet in portrait mode much easier. The second mode is Tilt where you are able to slightly tilt the device and place it on a flat surface. The last mode, Stand, allows the tablet to stand while having a kickstand which can be pulled out of the circular bulge.

Aside from the unique aesthetics of the two devices, both Yoga tablets also come at cheap prices. The 8-inch version will retail at $249, while the 10-inch edition will set you back at only $299.

Here's a short video on how the two Yoga tablets work:
