‘New Girl’ Season 3, Episode 8: Nick Gets Back In Shape With The Help Of Coach, Rivalry Between Schmidt And Coach Develops

"New Girl" season 3, episode 7 saw the return of Coach to the loft, and Schmidt moving into a new apartment. "New Girl" season 3, episode 8 will feature Coach helping out Nick, but a rivalry may be developing between Coach and Schmidt on "New Girl."

The official synopsis for "New Girl" season 3, episode 8, titled "Menus," is: "An overabundance of Chinese food take-out menus left at the loft's front door is the catalyst for an interconnected series of adventures for Jess and the guys."

According to Hypable, Coach decides that he's going to help Nick get back into shape. Meanwhile, Schmidt may be feeling left out of the gang after moving out of the loft. Hypable reports that Schmidt will overcompensate by being overly helpful to his friends, including wanting to help Coach train Nick when they head to the beach.

It's going to be a helping episode in general: Nick will also try and help Jess figure out a way to take her students on a field trip.

The reason for the title "Menus" is due to the storyline of Jess and Winston trying to stop local restaurants from leaving so many menus in their building.

According to Hypable, the official synopses for the "new Girl" episodes 8-10 tease that there will be trouble between Schmidt and Coach, as the rivalry between the two grows.

The synopsis for "New Girl" season 3, episode 9 "Werewolf" is: "Nick (Jake Johnson) takes Winston (Lamorne Morris) out to get him back in the dating game. Then, when Coach asks Cece out on a date, Jess is tasked with keeping a depressed Schmidt (Max Greenfield) occupied inside the loft, and in the process, they rekindle their friendship."

"Werewolf" is scheduled to air Nov. 19 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.

The synopsis for "New Girl" season 3, episode 10 "Thanksgiving III" is: "The gang's survival skills are put to the test when Nick takes them camping for Thanksgiving. Coach and Schmidt battle it out over who is the best woodsman, while Cece and Winston bond over their mutual distaste for the outdoors."

"Thanksgiving III" is scheduled to air Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.

"Menus" is scheduled to air Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
