‘Super Mario 3D World’ Release Date Set For November 22; Nintendo Reveals 5th Playable Character, Rosalina, As Hidden Unlockable [TRAILER]

Super Mario 3D World release date has already been set.

According to a post on Gamespot, Super Mario 3D World release date is scheduled for November 22 in the US. Meanwhile, gamers in Europe will be able to avail the game one week after the Super Mario 3D World release date in North America.

As posted on CVG, Super Mario 3D World release date in Europe and Australia is set for November 29.

 And days ahead of Super Mario 3D World release date, Nintendo confirmed that there will be a 5th playable character in the upcoming Wii U game.

This new character, Rosalina, is a star of Super Mario Galaxy, and it will be available in Super Mario 3D World as hidden unlockable. Rosalina is also featured in the latest Super Mario 3D World trailer, which shows ten things to see and do in the forthcoming Mario game.

Rosalina will join other familiar characters in Super Mario 3D World such as Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach. Accordingly, the 5th playable character can use the spin attack, particularly, from the Super Mario Galaxy game.

Furthermore, the latest Super Mario 3D World trailer also shows the touch screen and microphone features of the game. It also depicts Captain Toad levels that will be part of Super Mario 3D World game.

Super Mario 3D World will support 4 players simultaneously. Each of the characters has their own unique traits and characteristics, similar to previous title, the Super Mario Bros 2.

Nintendo EAD Tokyo Group 2 is the developer of Super Mario 3D World. It is also the same game studio that created Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS, as well as Super Mario Galaxy 2, available on Wii consoles.

Super Mario 3D World was originally announced during the pre-E3 2013 conference of Nintendo on June 11. Expect more updates as Super Mario 3D World release date nears.
