Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date For Moto X To Roll Out "In A Matter Of Weeks"

Recently, Motorola has been providing excellent after-sales support to its consumers with timely releases of Android updates, even the fresh KitKat. During the announcement of the Motorola Moto G, the organizers also mentioned briefly the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for the current flagship, the Moto X.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the company is already working on the update and it will roll out in Moto X devices 'in a matter of weeks'. While this is certainly a vague timeline, at least owners would have something to look forward to before the year ends.

Meanwhile, the Moto G which was announced yesterday is a midranger that also comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, same as the Moto X. The report says it will get KitKat by January next year.

Motorola has not been performing as expected, and during the previous quarter, it only managed to ship 500,000 units of the Moto X while Apple and Samsung have been racking up millions.

Hopefully, the timely Android updates would help the US-based company in the long run.
