EVGA Tegra Note 7 Release Date, Review: Specs Of New NVIDIA Tablet Include 5MP Camera, 7-Inch Display, Android 4.2.2, Not Bad Nor Good At $200, Avail. Nov. 19

EVGA Tegra Note 7 release date, review: The EVGA Tegra Note 7 is in a field filled with competitors like the iPad Mini and the new iPad Mini with Retina Display, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX, Galaxy Nexus 7, LG G Pad 8.3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. In short, a highly competitive field.

Specs wise, the EVGA Tegra Note 7 sports a 7-inch display, a 5MP camera and is powered with the Android 4.2.2. It’s available for pre-order and will be shipping November 19 at a very affordable price of $200. The only competitive advantage it seems though of this tablet is the price and part of its specs and performance show why its cheap.

In a review by CNET, it noted that the embedded groove is useless and uncomfortable. The tech site also said that the screen isn’t as a sharp as the some 7-inch tablets and the front-facing camera is just horrendous. Unfortunately and it what could be the biggest inconvenience the tablet gets stuck in a horizontal screen orientation. CNET declared though that for the stylus experience, the EVGA Tegra Note 7 is decent for half the price (comparing it to the $380 Samsung Galaxy Note 8).

Engadget also notes the despite the EVGA Tegra Note 7 having powerful Tegra 4 chip, the compromises are obvious. The 7-inch tablet’s 11.29 ounce weight is massive compared to its counterparts. It’s also 5mm wider than the the Nexus 7 and 0.9mm thicker. Holding the device will make you realize the difference.

The design of the EVGA Tegra Note 7 also fail to impress in some ways. Engadget notes that the three segmented plastic back is a little too busy and the other two sections are are smooth, glossy and scratch-prone. In terms of wear and tear, the tablet has very poor endurance and holding it doesn’t make you feel like it’s a solid gadget, Engadget noted.

Overall, if price is all that matters both CNET and Engadget seemingly implies that it’s neither a bad nor a good deal, in many fronts.
