Mac Pro Release Date: Apple’s Most Powerful Machine Yet To Arrive This December, Tech Giant Says It’s Your Mac For ‘The Next 10 Years’

Mac Pro release date is coming this December and we’re less than a month away from the arrival of the computer that Apple says will be your Mac for “the next 10 years.” Aside from the long-term durability of the Mac Pro, it’s also touted as one of the most environmentally friendly, using less than 70 percent of the energy from previous Mac Pros. The base model starts at $2,999.

The upcoming Mac Pro will have a 12-core Intel Xeon processor, PCI-Express based flash storage, dual AMD FirePro GPUs, and the ability to connect three 4K resolution monitors. Aside from all this, the port selection options for the Mac Pro include Thunderbolt 2, USB 3.0, HDMI 1.4 and a set of Gigabit Ethernet connectors. The work station will also have wireless connectivity that comes in either 802.11ac and Blueetooth 4.0.

In a report by Digital Trends, it noted that the new Mac Pro will be powered by a 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon processor, 12 GB of DRAM, dual FirePro D300 GPUs with 2GB of VRAM each and a 256GB SSD.

In a recent re-introduction of the Mac Pro, they showed a video of the machine being manufactured in the U.S. Apple has committed itself to ensuring that the high-end MacPro is manufactured in the U.S.A to help augment the tech manufacturing sphere.

In an earlier report last month, Flextronics - the manufacturer of the MacPro for Apple - is expected to hire 1,700 more workers to produce the machine in their Texas campus.

According to Digital Trends, the Mac is positioned to be the workstation of choice for creative professionals. The machine is designed for individuals who make a living from creating content like video and music. It wasn’t an accident that some of the individuals who gave a testimonial on the power of the Mac Pro included music producers for the likes of Lady Gaga and film editors of Hollywood blockbuster films.
