YG to Launch New Promotion Tool

YG representative Yang Hyun Suk shared his plans of launching a new promotional tool for his label artists that will begin with Big Bang. Till now it’s mostly been using mobile service, internet broadcast, and other new media in various angles however this time the scale is larger.

The new songs of Big Bang will be supplied online through ‘YG On Air’ that will provide content which YG Entertainment directly produces. They have been planning this for a long time, always wanted to break away from the frames of broadcast programs and create fun content based on their own ideas.

“The market has grown wider which should reflect on our view. We shouldn’t only wish to rank number one on music programs in the same way as the old days of Seotaiji&Boys. In broadcast programs they have a limit in number of songs and cost of production. We wish to rent out a performing stage and provide a quality stage that can showcase the entire album to worldwide fans.”
