'K-Pop Star' First Cut Brings Tears to JYP and BoA

On March 4th, the episode that featured the first live performances of the contestants from the "Survival Audition K-Pop Star" was aired on SBS.

After the ten contestants finished their performances, they all came up on the stage. MC Yoon Do Hyun stood in the middle and announced that the contestants Baek Ji Woong, Lee Michelle, Lee Seung Hoon, Park Jae Hyung and Baek Ah Yeon were not getting cut.

On stage, Kim Na Yoon, Yoon Hyun Sang, Lee Ha Ee and Park Ji Min remained. Park Jin Young announced that Park Ji Min will move forward followed by Yoon Hyun Sang. Kim Na Yoon, Lee Jung Mi, and Lee Ha Ee were left. BoA called Lee Ha Lee's name to tell her that she will be moving forward. 

There were only two left now.

Lee Jung Mi stated, "It was a disappointing performance so I kind of expected this. Even if I get cut today, I don't think I'll be sad."

Kim Na Yoon stated, "I'm very nervous and very shaky."

Park Jin Young finally announced, "It wasn't very much of the judges' choice. This resulted from viewers' text mesages and we couldn't do anything about it. It's a shame." and announced that Kim Na Yoon will be the one moving forward.

Lee Jung Mi was chosen to be cut from the auditions.

Lee Jung Mi stated, "Thank you so much for letting me come this far. I have learned so much through my experience here." and "Thank you so much for giving me the chance to meet some amazing people. Thank you for letting me realize my weaknesses. I truly learned so much."

The judges Park Jin Young and Boa showed tears in their eyes as they listened to Lee Jung Mi's goodbye speech. Yang Hyun Suk also seemed very unhappy with the results.
