Upcoming Windows Phones 2014: Nokia Allegedly Working On Dual-SIM Lumia Codenamed Moneypenny, Rumored To Get WP 8.1 Blue, Cortana Voice Assistant

Just several months until Nokia's mobile division finally gets bought by Microsoft, the Finnish manufacturer has released a flurry of devices and is rumored to be developing two new Lumias, Goldfinger and Moneypenny. For people who prefer dual-SIM phones but have no available options for upcoming Windows phones in 2014, then this update sure is good news.

According to a report by GSM Arena, notorious leakster EVLeaks has tweeted that Nokia may be working on a dual-SIM edition of its Moneypenny Lumia phone.

This is certainly a good move on the part of Nokia, if it wants to gain more traction in the mass and emerging markets where dual-SIM support is seen as a necessary feature.

This also means that the new Windows Phone update, 8.1 Blue will finally allow Lumia phones to get dual-SIM support. Moneypenny, as well as Godfinger are also poised to be the first Nokia phones to get the update out of the box, allowing them to work with new GPU and making multi-tasking much easier.

A report a few months back also point to a Siri-like voice assistant named Cortana, which is a fictional character from the Microsoft Studios-owned Halo video game series.

Nokia may launch its two latest devices on CES or during the MWC next year.

Let us all hope the new Lumias come as fresh as advertised, especially with the Cortana voice assistant.
