Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite Rumored To Be Announced On MWC 2014, Packs 5" Display, Quad-Core CPU, 1GB RAM And Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

During the past couple of years, Samsung has been beefing up one of its lesser-known Android lineups. And new reports are pointing to a release at the Mobile World Congress next year for the rumored Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite.

Initially leaked by Samsung insider SamMobile, a photo of the alleged Galaxy Grand Lite showcases mixed features which it borrowed from both its predecessors. And a report from Android Authority claims the device will be geared for a release five weeks into 2014, which falls within the MWC in Barcelona, Spain.

According to recent rumors about the device, the Galaxy Grand Lite will allegedly pack 5-inches of screen estate with WVGA resolution, a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage.

Meanwhile, behind the back cover lies the microSD card slot, and the 2100mAh battery. It is also rumored to sport a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a VGA snapper in front. It will arrive with either Android 4.2 or 4.3 out of the box.

While the fact that the Korean manufacturer is releasing a 'lite' version of a midrange device isn't surprising, it is certainly interesting how much Samsung would price its upcoming Android handset.

With just under a month before 2014 kicks in, we will soon know.
