Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Confirmed By Exec To Fall In March Or April With 'Radically-Different Design', New Flagship Rumored To Boast Eye-Scanning Tech

There have been lots of talks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, but this may have confirmed its inevitable launch.  In a report by a Samsung exec, the upcoming flagship could fall in either March or April.

In a report by GSM Arena, Samsung's vice president for mobile business Lee Young Hee has provided the much-needed confirmation regarding the Galaxy S5 release date. In the report, the exec announced that the upcoming flagship might be released some time between March or April.

In his interview, Young Hee also hinted that the company will provide a 'radically-different design' for the Galaxy S5 as opposed to the designs of both the S3 and S4.

"When we moved to S4 from S3, it's partly true that consumers couldn't really feel much difference between the two products from the physical perspective, so the market reaction wasn't as big. For the S5, we will go back to the basics. Mostly, it's about the display and the feel of the cover."

In addition, there has also been rumors lately that upcoming Samsung phones, including the Galaxy S5 and the Note 4, would sport an eye-scanner. While this is certainly a promising feature, we sure can't tell how it would work, or if it would work at all.
