Upcoming Asus Tablets 2014: Asus' New Windows 8 Slate Is The Best In The Market At Its Price Range, Packs Wacom Stylus

During the CES in Las Vegas, Asus revealed a number of decent devices, one of which is the VivoTab Note 8. As one of the upcoming Asus tablets in 2014, this slate is certainly noticeable in a sea of gadgets - that's the effect when you're a device that comes with a Wacom stylus.

Wacom is one of the popular stylus makers in the industry, so when you combine it with a Windows 8 tablet from a world leader like Asus, you don't expect a pricetag of just $299.

But is it really worth the hype?

The Asus VivoTab Note 8 is a full-blown Windows 8 device, which means users are able to install programs like Photoshop or Illustrator. Of course Office is preloaded so you can perform all your work-related tasks in the device.

That's where the Wacom stylus comes in. In a report from The Verge, a user is able to make gestures and move the VivoTab Note 8's cursor without the tip of the stylus touching the screen.

While the Asus tablet only has a 1,280 x 800 IPS display, it more than makes up for it with 2GB of RAM, a 1.86GHz Intel Bay Trail Atom chip, a 5-megapixel camera and a front cam, and 32GB of internal memory.

Are you rooting for this Windows 8 tablet from the Taiwanese manufacturer?
