Lena Dunham Compares 'Girls' To 'Breaking Bad' As Nude Scene Debate Continues: Season 4 Renewed As Season 3 Begins

As "Girls" prepares for its season 3 premiere, Lena Dunham recently stepped up to the plate to defend her character Hannah and the nude scene controversy.

During the recent 2014 Winter TCA Press Tour, Lena Dunham defended her character Hannah, who had been characterized as unlikable and polarizing in the past.

"People ask 'How can you sympathize with [Hannah],' and I'm like, 'You seem to like Walter White!" said Dunham according to E! Online.

Meanwhile, things got a bit tense when the nude scene issue was raised by a male reporter.

For Lena Dunham, the nudity on the show is "a real human expression" and later added, "If you're not into me, that's your problem."

According to Fox News, the line of questions sent "Girls" executive producer into a "rage spiral."

Currently, "Girls" is set to premiere season 3 on January 12, and fans will see Hannah, Jessa, Marnie, and Shoshanna continue to deal with being 20-somethings in New York.

Expectations for "Girls" season 3 appears mixed, with some citing Hannah and the nude scene controversy as issues they took with season 2, as opposed to season 1.

"I hope they redeem themselves in the third season because season two was freakin' awful (but season 1 was really good). Also, I hope Lena would tone down her nudity and sex scenes. I felt like she was naked and having sex 50% of every episode," said Mady See on YouTube.

"This show makes me laugh and cry and feel good. Looking forward to season 3," contradicted Brendan Arndt.

But not everything is mired in controversy and bad press for "Girls." Recently, it was revealed that the Lena Dunham show had been renewed for a fourth season by HBO.
