The Amazing Spider-Man 2 New Character Rumors: Will There Be Love Triangle Between Spidey And Two Feline Superheroes?

New character rumors for the "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" spread on the Web like wildfire on who could give Spidey a helping hand as the plot seems to have more villains than even your friendly neighborhood superhero can handle.

As of this moment, only Electro and Green Goblin are confirmed to be the main villains based on the teasers and posters, Rhino will serve only as an introduction with the promise of a bigger role to play in sequels.

Dr. Curt Connors, who plays Lizard in the first "The Amazing Spider-Man," is also rumored to come back but only as a cameo before he slinks into hiding.

According to the blog Daily Bugle, one of the rumored new characters to join "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is Puma.

Fireheart Industries, owned by Thomas Fireheart, has donated two million dollars to repair the damage caused by the Lizard to the Midtown Science High in New York.

To Marvel fans, Fireheart's alter ego is Puma, a Native American who was the subject of an experiment that is a combination of mysticism and genetic mutation to create a perfect soldier.

Puma's association with Spiderman isn't as clear cut, however, since he was both an ally and foe to the webslinger.

Now, this is where it gets interesting. Felicia Hardy a.k.a. the Black Cat is a new character that has already been reported to join "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." Hardy was a former girlfriend of Peter Parker but she also became the girlfriend of Puma, particularly during the "Civil War" story arc where both feline superheroes registered with the government.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is a precursor to the webslinger facing the "Sinister Six," a popular story arc in the comics series. The Sinister Six is composed of Dr. Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Vulture, Mysterio and Sandman.
