With an amazing second half, Andrew Luck led the way for the Colts to win 45-44 over Kansas City. Luck threw for four touchdowns and 443 yards - most of which came after his three interceptions in the first half.
"It was a tremendous performance coming back in the second half," Patriots coach Bill Belichick told ESPN.com about the Colts performance last week. "They did a really good job in all three areas of the game. This is a team that's well coached, that's had a real good season. They beat some of the best teams in the league, in both the AFC and the NFC. They've just been impressive."
Besides the lethal, accurate arm of Tom Brady, the Colts will have a tough running game to deal with from New England. Stevan Ridley, LeGarrette Blount, Brandon Bolden and Shane Veeren have combined for 1,545 rushing yards this season to go along with 14 scores.
Despite no Aaron Hernandez (jail), Rob Gronkowski (injured) and others throughout the season, Brady has led a Patriots team into yet another bye.
In a surprising move, Deion Branch was signed Monday by Indianapolis. Branch was a former Super Bowl MVP with New England, who started four of 10 games for the Patriots last year.
"Having had some time spent there, we figured that the questions were going to come up 'If you're signing this guy who spent time in New England, is it just a coincidence or do you need the guy to help you win a football game?'" Pagano said. "We think we got a heck of a football player."
