Hannibal Season 2 Spoiler: Major Horror Book Character To Make An Appearance; Plus, Will Graham To Get A New Love Interest, Who Is She?

NBC's Hannibal has been described by TV geeks as one of the most suspenseful, goriest horror TV series in 2013. In its second season, which is slated to start on February 28, fans are already warned that things could get uglier, more morbid, and more frightening. The relationship between Will Graham (played by Hugh Dancy) and Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) will turn sourer than ever.

As if the tension between Will and Hannibal is not enough, show creator Bryan Fuller decided to add another character that will surely capture the attention of its viewers. According to a report by TV Line, a MAJOR character presence from the collection of Thomas Harris, the author of the book where the series was based from, will have a major role in the second season. That character is the sister of Mason Verger, a wealthy, sadistic pedophile who was left horribly disfigured after a "therapy session" with Lecter.

As per TV Line, Margot is not just there to haunt Hannibal, she's also in the show to become Will's romantic partner. This is surely an exciting twist because Will and Alana Bloom (played by Caroline Dhavernas) have a romance that was only thwarted by Will's perceived unstableness.

"Toward the end of Season 2, we will meet the recurring character of Margot, a patient of Dr. Lecter's who has issues stemming from her serial killer twin brother's abuse of her. (In fact, she once tried to kill her kin in retaliation!) So who, of course, will this broken women strike up a romance with? Yep - Will"

Mason's sister Margot was first seen on the 'Hannibal' novel after Lecter's incarceration and escape.

The show was renewed for 13 episodes and actors who will return are Raul Esparza who plays as Dr. Frederick Chilton, 'X-Files' vet Gillian Anderson for her role as Hannibal's own therapist, Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier, and will Eddie Izzard as Dr. Abel Gideon.
