Liam Payne joined fellow One Direction band mate Zayn Malik for his 21st birthday - but did things get a little too wild, and Liam Payne ignored and ditched his girlfriend Sophia Smith?

Sugarscape has reported a slew of pictures of Liam Payne's crazy night, which started at Zayn Malik's birthday party. But where was Liam's girlfriend Sophia Smith?

According to Unreality TV, a Twitter account claims that Sophia was there for part of the night, but wasn't getting treated very well by her One Direction boyfriend.

@1DAlwaysUpdated wrote on Twitter: "When @blitzstyles met Liam tonight and said that he was super drunk and ignoring Sophia -L"

That's no way to treat your girlfriend, Liam!

Later that night, Payne thanked Zayn on Twitter for hosting him and his friends at his birthday bash: "@zaynmalik happy birthday bro have a good one tomorrow thanks for having us sorry haven't got ur num in this phone so had to say it here".

According to Sugarscape, Liam's friends wrote on Twitter on the wild night: "Tonight is going to be a big night!!", and another wrote: "As if I'm smashed in Zayns house".

Another one of Liam's friends revealed some wild antics also occurred that night: "LOL as if we've just jumped Zane's fence to his house o.0"

The video below shows Liam at the Funky Buddha, suggesting that he and his buddies ended up going clubbing later in the evening.

We hope his girlfriend Sophia Smith isn't too peeved for his ditching her on Zayn's birthday. As we recently reported, Liam revealed that he was quite the charmer while at school, and talked about an older girlfriend he once had.

"I had a girlfriend called Chanelle in reception, who used to send me love letters," Liam Payne said in a recent interview about his love life, MStarz reports.

"I was also really proud of the fact that I went out with a girl who was in Year Six when I was in Year Four," the One Direction singer admitted. "She was one of my sister's friends, and I thought I was really cool having an older girlfriend."
