Pokemon X And Y Composer Leaves Game Freak As Torchic Event Comes To An End: Nintendo Tweets Pokemon Bank Update

As Pokemon X and Y era enters the New Year, a host of events and updates have surfaced.

The first thing to be aware of is that the special Torchic event is due to end on Wednesday, January 15, so be sure to grab this Pokemon while you still can.

The special Torchic event has been available since the release of Pokemon X and Y. It carries the Hidden Ability Speed Boost and holds a Blazikenite, which allows it to Mega Evolve to Mega Blaziken.

To grab this Pokemon, just choose the Mystery Gift in the game menu.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Pokemon X and Y composer Shota Kageyama is parting way with Game Freak to pursue his own ventures.

"[Greetings] Happy New Year, everyone. I'm sorry to raise a personal matter, but I left (graduated) Game Freak, who has been good to me these past six years and seven months, on December 31 to start a new music brand called Spica Music," wrote Kageyama on his Twitter account.

In addition to the music in Pokemon X and Y, Kageyama is also responsible for Pokemon Black and White and HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Does this mean the alleged Pokemon Plus and Minus will have a completely new sound?

And while Nintendo is being epically silent on the botched Pokemon Bank matter, they did update Pokemon fans with a new tweet about it on Friday.

While some fans appreciated that they are at least acknowledging the issue, others are still outraged at the lack of a release date for the service.
