As "American Horror Story: Coven" begins again in 2014, spoilers regarding the future of its cast of characters as well as season 4 have surfaced.
Firstly, the previous episode of "American Horror Story: Coven" brought the demise of fan-favorite Nan, and according to Ryan Murphy, she is not returning to the series by the ways of Joan or Madison.
"Nan is sadly gone for good," said Murphy according to Huffington Post.
In the case of Queenie, who was last seen dying in a December episode, spoilers confirm that the character will return in the next episode.
"Queenie is in the next episode. We find out what happens to her," added Murphy.
And the same could be said about Misty, despite her current fate of trapped in a coffin.
"How does one get out of a tomb? Can she get out of it or is she buried alive? We’ll revisit her torment as the clock is ticking."
And lastly, Murphy said it was the end of Patti LuPone's Joan on "American Horror Story: Coven."
"That is the end of Patti LuPone’s character this season," said Murphy.
But reportedly, Murphy also seemed to hint at spoilers that LuPone could return to "American Horror Story" season 4, should her schedule open up. With Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett reumored to be in talks to return as well, would you want Patti LuPone to join them in season 4?

Recently, a string of fan-made posters for "American Horror Story" season 4 involving the circus theme have gone viral on Twitter, and fans seem to be eating them up.
Of course, publications like TVLine and GeekNation have also reported that the carnival/circus theme is highly possible "American Horror Story" season 4. According to Ryan Murphy, filming could take place in Santa Fe, which would be a perfect location to film a circus as well.
