Benedict Cumberbatch's TV Girlfriend Reveals What It’s Like To Kiss The ‘Sherlock’ Star! Janine Actress Calls His Kisses ‘Lovely And Soft’

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to kiss Benedict Cumberbatch as his girlfriend? Benedict Cumberbatch's "Sherlock" girlfriend Janine, played by actress Yasmine Akram, described what it was like to kiss Benedict Cumberbatch on the set of "Sherlock."

"It was lovely and very soft," Akram told RadioTimes.com in an interview.

Akram, who plays Cumberbatch's new and surprising girlfriend on "Sherlock," added that kissing Benedict would "be top of her list of things to do with her afternoon," RadioTimes writes.

The "Sherlock" actress plays the character Janine in season 3. She described the kissing scene that came at the end of a shoot that lasted about five hours. Akram revealed that there would have been nobody better to kiss than Cumberbatch!

"It was absolutely lovely," she said. "He doesn't intimidate you; he was just very kind and generous."

Akram said that the kissing scenes with Cumberbatch were "bound to put a few noses out of joint." She has been bracing herself for the angry envy of Benedict's devoted fans, who call themselves Cumberb*tches.

"Those first 20 minutes, half an hour, people are going to be like 'Whaaaat!?'" Akram said.

She added that she needs to remind herself that any potential haters "are not upset with me; it's people loving him and loving the show."

Benedict Cumberbatch, 37, is currently single. The "Sherlock" star said in an interview last month that being famous makes it "harder" to meet women.

"It is harder [meeting women], because people think they know more about you than they actually do. And you can't control that...You can't control perceptions of you," Benedict Cumberbatch said in an interview in GQ UK's January 2014 issue.

Cumberbatch was linked to Russian model and reality star Katia Elizarova, "Downton Abbey" star Laura Carmichael, "Dracula" actress Charlotte Asprey, and "Star Trek" co-star Alice Eve, Fashion & Style reports. He was spotted at intimate events with these women, but still appears to be single and not dating anyone seriously at the moment.
